Summer is soon over and fall is here quicker than we know it (except for those of us who have kids in school already!)

Our prayer here at the LIGHT! is that you would experience God’s love and reflect the light of Jesus to all whom the Spirit brings into your life. In excelsis Deo!

Please pray for the war that we are undertaking with Iran right now. Pray for the soldiers who are in harms way and for the family of those who’ve fallen. Pray that we would be able to achieve peace and be clear about why we are there.

Please continue to pray for our divided country. May not only the Truth of Jesus prevail but also the “truth” of reality. Helping Americans to focus more on solving problems using facts rather than debating even what the facts are is much more productive. Let the politicians focus on *policy*. We, as the Church, should focus on our *culture* and not depend on policy to define culture. As we have said many times, “you can’t legislate morality.” We can, however, be “winsome” as the Bible encourages us to be, and “win some” of our friends who are not yet believers to the faith!

Please pray for peace in the Middle East between Hamas and Israel. We unequivocally support Israel’s right to defend itself. We support non-Hamas affiliated Palestinians who want peace – they need humanitarian relief. Israel should not be oppressing these folks.

Continue to pray for the Ukraine & Russian people suffering under Putin. Please pray for President Trump to stand against this aggression and to ensure the continued aid for the Ukrainians to keep fighting for their independence from the authoritarian regime of Vladimir Putin.

Our current focus is on learning more about “Why Christians Must Lead the Way to Teach Others to be Discerning of Big ‘T’ Truth AND Little ‘t’ Truth.”

We will continue our series on “Love Your Enemies” and will be spending this quarter working on a training module for facilitating productive and forward-moving discussions between two groups who are not necessarily friendly to each other.
