Why Donald Trump was more dangerous than abortion-rights activists

*** the following is not the view of us in the capacity of the LIGHT but in our capacity as individual citizens ***

Many of you have asked our reasoning as to why we personally (not the LIGHT!) were against Donald Trump. While we respect everyone’s right to vote for whomever they want (although believe you should be able to defend your vote with biblical principles) here was why we personally did not support Donald Trump last year:

1. Donald Trump does not respect TRUTH
   1. Let’s face it. Donald Trump lies. A lot. Even after being corrected multiple times by credible and generally reliable sources.
   2. Self-proclaimed Christians should not lie – certainly not as much as Donald Trump.
   3. All policy is built on TRUTH. When Donald Trump lies, no policy – even pro-life policies can stand.
2. Donald Trump does not respect RULE OF LAW
   1. Let’s face it. Donald Trump is a law unto himself and believes everyone works for him vs believing we are all accountable to the Constitution as US Citizens and to God as heavenly citizens.
   2. Donald Trump showed his disdain for RULE OF LAW by not respecting legal subpeona’s placed upon his inner circle.
   3. All policy is built on RULE OF LAW. No policy – even pro-life policies, can stand if we don’t the President executing the RULE OF LAW.
3. Donald Trump does not respect DEMOCRACY
   1. Let’s face it. Donald Trump has done a ton of bad things to undermine American’s faith in our democracy without any credible evidence as evidenced by losing over 60 lawsuits on this – 8 with judges he personally appointed.
   2. Donald Trump shows does not believe in the peaceful transition of power nor does he believe in the will of the people and the principle of 1 person 1 vote.
   3. Our entire government depends on DEMOCRACY. When there is no DEMOCRACY and our entire form of government goes away then no policy, even a pro-life one, can stand.

BOTTOM LINE: Truth, Rule of Law and Democracy are much more fundamental than any policy – even a pro-life one. Donald Trump disrespected all 3. This is why we did not support him even if he is supposedly pro-life. Supporting pro-life while giving up on the other 3 would be like saying you support free speech and gun rights on the Titanic while ignoring the fact that you just sunk it by deliberately running it into an iceberg.
