I hope you find this post encouraging!
Whenever you are going through a rough patch, whenever you feel like you can’t take it anymore, you remember God. Whenever you feel like you’ve reached your breaking point and your lowest, the thing that comes to your mind is probably prayer. You pray to God to grant you some things you wish for, to give you back the one you love or to make your wishes come true.
It doesn’t matter whether you have some family emergency, if you’ve found yourself at an important crossroads or you are going through some relationship or marriage problems—the bottom line is the same. You feel trapped in the darkness and prayer is the only light at the end of the tunnel you hope will save you.
When you come to think of it, whenever you pray, you always have an exact set of demands and prayers. Nevertheless, these prayers don’t always come true and you can’t help but wonder why that is so.
Well, let me tell you one thing—things don’t always go the way you want them to for your own sake. I know you are convinced that you know what’s best for you but you actually don’t.
Trust me when I tell you that everything in this life happens for a reason and for a bigger cause which you usually don’t see. God always has an agenda, even when it doesn’t seem like that.
So, if something isn’t going the way you want it to, there is a reason for that. If something doesn’t go the way you planned it to, it is because God’s plans are always above yours.
If you can’t get the guy you love to come back to you, it is because you actually don’t need him in your life right now, even though you might not know it. If you can’t get that job you’ve wanted for a while, it means that a better opportunity awaits you.
And the same goes for everything and everyone in your life. So the best thing you can do is to follow God’s lead. Trust me—there will come a time when you’ll be thankful for things playing out exactly the way they did.
It is not for you to ask Him about the things you wish for—it is for you to ask Him to give you what is best for you. It is to pray for Him to guide you through life, to give you strength to overcome all the obstacles and to fight through all of the challenges life puts in front of you.
No, you shouldn’t pray to have a perfect life because that would be impossible. You can’t expect for you to only experience good without evil.
Instead, you should be praying to God to send you the wrong people because without them, you wouldn’t appreciate the right ones. To send you sadness and misery because otherwise, you wouldn’t appreciate happiness. To send you bad times so you could appreciate the good ones.
Yes, you’ve heard it right—you should be thankful every time your heart breaks and every time you go through something painful because that is the only way for you to become stronger and more powerful. The only way for you to grow as a person and the only way for you to evolve into the best possible version of yourself.
Every time you start to question God’s decisions, remember that there are times when your struggles are actually your biggest blessings. Remember that there are some things beyond our comprehension and that there is something good in everything bad, even when you don’t see it.
Don’t forget that sometimes God breaks you just so He could put you back together. That sometimes, He gives you a hard time just to toughen you up and to teach you a difficult but valuable lesson. Most importantly, always remember that things always happen the way and at the exact moment they should happen because God always has the perfect timing.
So the next time you start worrying about what tomorrow will bring and if you’ll make the right choice about something, just have faith that everything will turn out for the best. Have faith in God to show you the way and have faith that He will give you what it takes to do the right thing.
