OK, some of you may know that I call things the way I see it (but almost always in love per the guideline from Paul to “speak the Truth in Love!”)
President Trump usually doesn’t get praise from me.
However, I have to admit that I’m encouraged by the recent chain of events with North Korea.
I’m still puzzled by what’s going on with Kim Jung Un in his recent overtures for peace. They certainly seem to be considerable conciliatory gestures he is taking (to formally end the Korean war, to end his nuclear arms build-up, to release American and potentially release South Korean prisoners, etc.). So, at face value all seems to be headed in a positive trajectory. Still, I am uncertain as to what caused this rather radical change of heart and will adopt a cautious but optimistic mindset about this situation.
Does Trump deserve all the credit? I don’t think so but I think he deserves some credit for not spouting his mouth off and calling Kim Jung Un “Little Rocket Man.” (I know, I know, my bar is set SOOO high these days – pardon my sarcasm =)
Still, in all seriousness, it is refreshing to see Trump show some restraint and not bad-mouth someone. I hope he can continue this positive trend in his “presidential” behavior.
What do you think?
