Keith’s group continues to make its way through the book of John. We anticipate finishing in March and then re-evaluating the direction the group is going as well as its purpose. Keith wants to challenge the group to consider the blessing of our religious freedom in America and how, for example, our Christian brothers and sisters in other countries risk their lives to be a part of a Bible Study. What would this mean to us and our willingness to commit to a group, or to serve regularly at a church? How should our faith change the way we look at our lives? In the last study Keith prepared on John 18, Keith contrasted the reactions of Jesus to the cup the Father gave Him, versus the reactions of Peter, Judas, and Pilate.
Melody’s group has been keeping one another accountable in prayer. We have been seeing great things happen within the group as God has been working through prayer- one member’s husband’s heart change; a non-believer finds herself seeking God more; a younger Christian serving her husband. We are contemplating birthing our group, as we have grown in size. We pray that God will raise leaders for the two groups in the future if this is where God leads.
