Keith’s group has continued their study in the book of John. We still have about 9 people in the group, as one individual has opted to go to a study that his church is doing instead and becoming involved with that rather than going to this study. It looks like the men are finding a lot of learning in the study and they have been consistent in coming. They are getting closer to the end of the book of John, and are thinking about new topics to study. Most likely they will go through a survey of the Bible to give the men a good overview of the entire Bible before diving back into specific books. We are also seeking to build better relationships between the men by encouraging more socials and birthday celebrations.
Melody’s group is just starting into a total curriculum we purchased that covers the entire Bible. It’s been very helpful material for her group, helping to inject not only systematic theology into the mix, but also the Bible from start to finish. At this point, the curriculum can easily cover lessons for the next 8 years!
Keith took a few weeks to teach Melody’s group on the topic of Biblical Manhood, and this topic was one with a lot of interest on the part of the women. It was a two-part series, with the second part being more Q&A and application-oriented. It was helpful for the women to see Biblical principles intersecting with real life issues, further reinforcing how God is indeed involved with all areas of life!
