I’m furious.
Last month I posted about how all this sexual harassment that was making the headlines must stop.
Well, it hasn’t.
In fact, it’s gotten worse!
No matter whether it’s Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, George HW Bush or even attendees and organizers at a TED conference, it is horrific to think that so many people of power take advantage of the most vulnerable among us.
Does that sound familiar?
It’s what happens every day as inequality widens.
The political system favors the rich. Look at how the House Republicans have recently passed their tax bill. Who benefits the most? The rich! Not the middle class. (Eliminating the estate tax? Really? Do they have any idea what that would do to wealth inequality other than spiraling it towards even greater disparity in favor of the wealthy?)
Look at the Senate tax bill. While very different it, too, still benefits primarily the rich, not the middle class!
As surely as we must fight this culture of sexual predation we must also stop this predilection for giving the rich even greater advantage.
There are no simple answers. It’s a complex problem. We have 15 ideas we want to try but are going to start with 2 first:
Education
Reducing the influence of money in politics

You’ll be glad you did!
