Very controversial, these anti-abortion laws being passed in some southern states like Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, etc.\u00a0 We are pro-life but what about when the life of the mother is in danger?<\/p>\n

May God give us wisdom to solve this together as “one Nation, under God, INDIVISIBLE, with liberty and justice for all.”<\/p>\n

She defended her statement by using a liberal standpoint. That stopping abortion, you put women\u2019s lives at risk:<\/p>\n

Her response came after Twitter users ripped into her for her anti-Christian viewpoint.<\/p>\n

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey\u00a0signed a near-total abortion ban<\/a>\u00a0Wednesday,\u00a0putting in place one of the nation\u2019s most restrictive laws on the procedure and all but guaranteeing legal challenges.<\/p>\n

The governor had been quiet about her intentions after the Alabama Senate gave final legislative approval to the bill Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the bill\u2019s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians\u2019 deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God,\u201d Ivey said in a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Volunteers at the POWER House<\/a>, a multipurpose venue that serves as a base for groups like the Montgomery Area Reproductive Justice Coalition and the Yellowhammer Fund, said they\u2019ve gotten a lot of phone calls from women after the State Senate passed the measure\u00a0on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe already have seen panic from people who are unsure of whether they are going to be able to get the abortions they have scheduled this week,\u201d said Amanda Reyes, president of the Yellowhammer Fund.<\/p>\n
