We need to stop the abuse within our own tribe. No unrepentant, unaccountable, unbridled, child molesters, bullies, liars, thieves, grifters, cheaters, etc. None of us are perfect – but everyone of us can repent, make the “perfect” apology and move forward.
- RECOGNITION of the specific words and / or deeds that were wrong / offensive
- REMORSE for those misdeeds expressed to the offended / victims in a contrite fashion
- REPENTENCE demonstrated by the creation of a solid plan, reviewed by the offended / victims, that shows how the offender takes great steps to ensure his misdeeds NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.
- RESTITUTION manifested in something of value afforded to the offended / victims – at great cost to the offender. Similar to what Zacchaeus the tax collector did when he received Christ as his Lord and Savior.
